The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta offers an “Affordable Housing Program” designed to assist in the development of affordable housing for low and moderate income households.

 

During Calendar 2006, AAHA processed FHLB Atlanta requests from 14 affiliates for 44 homes, distributing $246,000. During Calendar Year 2006, affiliates contributed administrative fees of $800.00 per grant funded to cover the cost of this program.

 

 

 

We are grateful for the support of Federal Home Loan Bank and those within the Bank who Assist us everyday in processing our application including Deborah Miller, Cassandra Madden and Shannon Fountain.

 

 

AAHA has been awarded 9 Grants totaling over 1.9 million in support of new Habitat homeowners and Alabama affiliates. Our applications to FHLB Atlanta are sponsored by Colonial Bank in Montgomery, Alabama. Our sincerest thanks and appreciation are offered to Walter Hargrove, Deborah Dibboll and Danette Suarez of Colonial Bank. They continue to work closely with AAHA to ensure the highest likelihood of receiving funding.
